AV/2 INSTRUMENT AND MEASUREMENT TECHNIQUES

There has been adoption of parts 1 & 2 of AS/IEC 61672 on Sound Level Meters. Part 1 deals with the Specifications and Part 2 deals with the Pattern Evaluation Testing.

Part 3 deals with the Sound Level Meter Periodic Tests this last section has reached the final draft and is therefore technically complete. If any changes occur at this late stage they should only be of an editorial nature. It is expected that part 3 of the standard will be out in about twelve months, presuming it receives a positive vote.

There has been a recent revision of IEC 61252 1.1 (bilingual 2002) Electroacoustics - Specifications for Personal Sound Exposure Meters; this is to be considered for an AS/IEC Standard.
