Report on activities of Standards Committee prepared by Society representatives for the November 2005 Council Meeting

AV/9 Vibration and Shock Applications

This report summarises my involvement as the AAS representative on this Standards Australia committee.

During the past year the committee has not met; all of our work is done by reviewing Australian Standards, Drafts and New Work Items. However, as part of my responsibilities on AV-009 I am also a member of ISO/TC- 108, Mechanical Shock and Vibration. I did not attend any meetings for ISO/TC- 108 during this period.

The ISO standard ISO 18431-2 for which I was project leader was published.

Several ISO documents in the field of Shock and Vibration were reviewed during this period.
