ISO / TC43 ("Acoustics") 31st Plenary meeting.

Attendees:

Document ISO/TC43 SC1 N1617 lists the delegates present at the 24th plenary.
Chair was Klaus Brinkmann (Germany); Secretary was Leif Nielsen (Denmark).
Peter Teague was the Head of Delegation for Australia (only Australian rep present).

Summary of Agenda/Outcomes:

Working groups that met in Toronto that have Australian representatives were: WG17, WG28, WG40, WG42, WG45 and WG52 (see doc N1603). The only Australian rep present in Toronto was Peter Teague (WG40, and observer for WG51).

Proposals for new work items and committee drafts were reviewed and confirmed/approved (for circulation) for working groups WG17, WG22, WG28, WG31, WG42 and WG45 (see doc N1615).

Reports on progress were presented from working groups WG17, WG22, WG23, WG27, WG28, WG31, WG33, WG38, WG39, WG40, WG42, WG45, WG51 and WG52 (see doc N1602).

The ISO/DTR "Acoustics - Definitions of basic quantities" N1613) was discussed with a number of comments and proposed changes to some definitions. PT (Australia) suggested changes to the definitions of peak SPL and time-average SPL, which was agreed by Chair and SC1 subcommittee. It was agreed for this ISO/DTR to be circulated again for comments/voting as a CD.
